Saint-Urbain is a commune in Vendée with 1,513 registered voters, the 106th largest of the département's 253 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 47.5% of them voted, fewer than the 59.4% across Vendée, and SAINT URBAIN L'AVENIR EN COMMUN won 19 of the council's 19 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 33.6%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 27.8%, France Unbowed 14.6%. National Rally did 10 points better here than across France.
