Lorgues is a commune in Var with 8,353 registered voters, the 25th largest of the département's 153 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 61.8% of them voted, more than the 58% across Var, and LORGUES ENCORE PLUS BELLE won 25 of the council's 29 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 28%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 24.4%, France Unbowed 16.1%. Reconquête did 6 points better here than across France.
