Parmain is a commune in Val-d'Oise with 4,271 registered voters, the 50th largest of the département's 183 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 55.9% of them voted, more than the 50.1% across Val-d'Oise, and PARMAIN PAR COEUR won 24 of the council's 29 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted Ensemble (Macron camp) 29.1%, National Rally 21.4%, France Unbowed 19.1%.
