Garges-lès-Gonesse is a commune in Val-d'Oise with 19,377 registered voters, the 6th largest of the département's 183 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 45.7% of them voted, fewer than the 50.1% across Val-d'Oise, and FIERS DE GARGES won 38 of the council's 43 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted France Unbowed 62.1%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 16.8%, National Rally 10.4%. France Unbowed did 40 points better here than across France.
