Franconville is a commune in Val-d'Oise with 22,232 registered voters, the 4th largest of the département's 183 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 45.5% of them voted, fewer than the 50.1% across Val-d'Oise, and J'aime Franconville won 35 of the council's 39 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted France Unbowed 31.9%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 26.6%, National Rally 17.3%. France Unbowed did 10 points better here than across France.
