Commeny is a commune in Val-d'Oise with 483 registered voters, the 118th largest of the département's 183 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 54.7% of them voted, more than the 50.1% across Val-d'Oise, and Engagés pour Commeny won 19 of the council's 19 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted Ensemble (Macron camp) 28.9%, National Rally 23.7%, France Unbowed 20.9%. Republicans did 3 points better here than across France.
