Le Châtelet-en-Brie is a commune in Seine-et-Marne with 3,432 registered voters, the 64th largest of the département's 506 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 56% of them voted, more than the 51.6% across Seine-et-Marne, and VIVRE AU CHATELET-EN-BRIE won 22 of the council's 27 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 28.6%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 25.5%, France Unbowed 18.7%. National Rally did 5 points better here than across France.
