Coupvray is a commune in Seine-et-Marne with 2,540 registered voters, the 82nd largest of the département's 506 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 61% of them voted, more than the 51.6% across Seine-et-Marne, and Vivons Coupvray won 19 of the council's 23 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted Ensemble (Macron camp) 29.1%, National Rally 21.1%, France Unbowed 19.6%.
