At the municipal election of March 2026 45.4% of them voted, fewer than the 56.7% across Rhône, and VILLEFRANCHE ENSEMBLE won 33 of the council's 39 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted France Unbowed 27.2%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 26.6%, National Rally 19.9%. France Unbowed did 5 points better here than across France.
