Propières is a commune in Rhône with 391 registered voters, the 239th largest of the département's 266 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 55.2% of them voted, close to the 56.7% across Rhône, and PROPIERES AGIR TOUS ENSEMBLE won 11 of the council's 11 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 36.1%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 24.5%, France Unbowed 13.6%. National Rally did 13 points better here than across France.
