Pomeys is a commune in Rhône with 970 registered voters, the 154th largest of the département's 266 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 68.5% of them voted, more than the 56.7% across Rhône, and POMEYS ET VOUS won 12 of the council's 15 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted Ensemble (Macron camp) 31.3%, National Rally 22.2%, France Unbowed 14.8%. France Unbowed did 7 points worse here than across France.
