Ortaffa is a commune in Pyrénées-Orientales with 1,439 registered voters, the 62nd largest of the département's 226 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 70% of them voted, more than the 61.5% across Pyrénées-Orientales, and ORTAFFA 2026 - OSONS LE RENOUVEAU won 15 of the council's 19 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 41.4%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 17.9%, France Unbowed 15.6%. National Rally did 18 points better here than across France.
