At the municipal election of March 2026 73.6% of them voted, more than the 60.5% across Puy-de-Dôme, and GENERATION'S St AMANT won 12 of the council's 15 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted France Unbowed 31.7%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 18.5%, National Rally 18.5%. France Unbowed did 10 points better here than across France.
