La Sentinelle is a commune in Nord with 2,129 registered voters, the 182nd largest of the département's 647 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 58% of them voted, more than the 54.3% across Nord, and La sentinelle La ville des Possibles won 18 of the council's 23 seats in the first round.
In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 41.8%, France Unbowed 20.4%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 19.3%. National Rally did 18 points better here than across France.
