Estaires is a commune in Nord with 5,294 registered voters, the 75th largest of the département's 647 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 60.4% of them voted, more than the 54.3% across Nord, and ESTAIRES AVEC VOUS won 24 of the council's 29 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 39.7%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 25.8%, France Unbowed 14.1%. National Rally did 16 points better here than across France.
