Arleux is a commune in Nord with 2,456 registered voters, the 165th largest of the département's 647 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 72.4% of them voted, more than the 54.3% across Nord, and ARLEUX, GARDONS LE CAP won 18 of the council's 23 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 44.6%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 20.5%, France Unbowed 12%. National Rally did 21 points better here than across France.
