Sichamps is a commune in Nièvre with 159 registered voters, the 176th largest of the département's 308 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 67.9% of them voted, more than the 61% across Nièvre, and Sichamps, notre village won 9 of the council's 11 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 52.9%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 16.8%, Reconquête 9.2%. National Rally did 30 points better here than across France.
