Marzy is a commune in Nièvre with 3,083 registered voters, the 6th largest of the département's 308 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 66.9% of them voted, more than the 61% across Nièvre, and the list led by Frédéric Marie won 22 of the council's 27 seats after a second round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted Ensemble (Macron camp) 31.5%, National Rally 24.1%, France Unbowed 16.2%. France Unbowed did 6 points worse here than across France.
