Marange-Silvange is a commune in Moselle with 5,094 registered voters, the 26th largest of the département's 724 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 56.1% of them voted, more than the 53.8% across Moselle, and Commune d'avenir 2026 Marange-Silvange-Ternel passionnément won 24 of the council's 29 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 32.1%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 25.2%, France Unbowed 19.8%. National Rally did 9 points better here than across France.
