Hagondange is a commune in Moselle with 6,530 registered voters, the 19th largest of the département's 724 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 49.3% of them voted, fewer than the 53.8% across Moselle, and the list led by Laurent Ernst won 23 of the council's 29 seats after a second round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 30%, France Unbowed 24.6%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 24%. National Rally did 7 points better here than across France.
