Locmiquélic is a commune in Morbihan with 3,347 registered voters, the 46th largest of the département's 248 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 70.5% of them voted, more than the 61.6% across Morbihan, and the list led by Éric Paturel won 21 of the council's 27 seats after a second round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted Ensemble (Macron camp) 29.3%, France Unbowed 24.6%, National Rally 19.5%. National Rally did 4 points worse here than across France.
