Moutiers is a commune in Meurthe-et-Moselle with 1,176 registered voters, the 79th largest of the département's 590 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 51.6% of them voted, close to the 52.3% across Meurthe-et-Moselle, and Ensemble, écrivons le Moutiers de demain won 15 of the council's 19 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 36.6%, France Unbowed 25.5%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 19.3%. National Rally did 13 points better here than across France.
