Layrac is a commune in Lot-et-Garonne with 3,085 registered voters, the 14th largest of the département's 319 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 59.1% of them voted, fewer than the 61.5% across Lot-et-Garonne, and UNION ET ACTION POUR LAYRAC won 22 of the council's 27 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 26.6%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 25.7%, France Unbowed 14.1%. France Unbowed did 8 points worse here than across France.
