About Vertou

Vertou is a commune in Loire-Atlantique with 20,790 registered voters, the 5th largest of the département's 207 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 58.1% of them voted, close to the 58.3% across Loire-Atlantique, and VERTOU NATURELLEMENT won 30 of the council's 35 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted Ensemble (Macron camp) 38.5%, France Unbowed 19.9%, National Rally 12.5%. National Rally did 11 points worse here than across France.
