Rouans is a commune in Loire-Atlantique with 2,463 registered voters, the 114th largest of the département's 207 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 63.9% of them voted, more than the 58.3% across Loire-Atlantique, and Rouans l'Energie Collective won 19 of the council's 23 seats in the first round.
In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted Ensemble (Macron camp) 27.7%, National Rally 24.9%, France Unbowed 20.9%. Reconquête did 3 points worse here than across France.
