Louisfert is a commune in Loire-Atlantique with 777 registered voters, the 189th largest of the département's 207 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 71.8% of them voted, more than the 58.3% across Loire-Atlantique, and LISTE D'INTÉRÊT COMMUNAL won 12 of the council's 15 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 33.7%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 29.2%, France Unbowed 16.2%. National Rally did 10 points better here than across France.
