Pruniers-en-Sologne is a commune in Loir-et-Cher with 1,857 registered voters, the 29th largest of the département's 267 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 57.7% of them voted, close to the 56.4% across Loir-et-Cher, and Poursuivons ensemble pour Pruniers-en-Sologne won 19 of the council's 19 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 34.9%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 27.7%, France Unbowed 11%. National Rally did 11 points better here than across France.
