Saubusse is a commune in Landes with 886 registered voters, the 91st largest of the département's 327 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 67% of them voted, more than the 63.7% across Landes, and Une équipe pour tous les Sibusates won 13 of the council's 15 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted Ensemble (Macron camp) 26.6%, National Rally 23.9%, France Unbowed 17.7%. Others did 7 points better here than across France.
