Optevoz is a commune in Isère with 654 registered voters, the 301st largest of the département's 510 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 69.7% of them voted, more than the 55.5% across Isère, and ENSEMBLE POUR L'AVENIR D'OPTEVOZ won 13 of the council's 15 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 36.1%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 19.7%, France Unbowed 16%. National Rally did 13 points better here than across France.
