Frontonas is a commune in Isère with 1,820 registered voters, the 126th largest of the département's 510 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 69.5% of them voted, more than the 55.5% across Isère, and Frontonas Ensemble won 15 of the council's 19 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted Ensemble (Macron camp) 31.8%, National Rally 26.9%, France Unbowed 13.3%. France Unbowed did 9 points worse here than across France.
