Arthon is a commune in Indre with 973 registered voters, the 30th largest of the département's 240 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 69.9% of them voted, more than the 62.6% across Indre, and BIEN VIVRE À ARTHON won 13 of the council's 15 seats in the first round.
In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 31.8%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 22.8%, France Unbowed 16%. National Rally did 8 points better here than across France.
