Saint-Grégoire is a commune in Ille-et-Vilaine with 8,044 registered voters, the 12th largest of the département's 331 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 62.4% of them voted, more than the 59.3% across Ille-et-Vilaine, and SAINT-GRÉGOIRE PASSIONNÉMENT ! won 26 of the council's 29 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted Ensemble (Macron camp) 45.5%, France Unbowed 16.7%, National Rally 8.3%. Ensemble (Macron camp) did 18 points better here than across France.
