About La Richardais

La Richardais is a commune in Ille-et-Vilaine with 2,356 registered voters, the 86th largest of the département's 331 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 64.6% of them voted, more than the 59.3% across Ille-et-Vilaine, and the list led by Hugues Brault won 18 of the council's 23 seats after a second round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted Ensemble (Macron camp) 35%, National Rally 18.2%, France Unbowed 18.1%. Ensemble (Macron camp) did 7 points better here than across France.
