Lignan-sur-Orb is a commune in Hérault with 2,653 registered voters, the 73rd largest of the département's 341 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 66.3% of them voted, more than the 60% across Hérault, and LIGNAN ENSEMBLE won 19 of the council's 23 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 37.7%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 19.2%, France Unbowed 15.1%. National Rally did 14 points better here than across France.
