Compreignac is a commune in Haute-Vienne with 1,503 registered voters, the 30th largest of the département's 195 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 67.8% of them voted, more than the 63.1% across Haute-Vienne, and VIVRE ENSEMBLE A COMPREIGNAC won 16 of the council's 19 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 30.6%, France Unbowed 21.3%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 20.9%. National Rally did 7 points better here than across France.
