Nernier is a commune in Haute-Savoie with 414 registered voters, the 244th largest of the département's 279 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 77.8% of them voted, more than the 52.9% across Haute-Savoie, and VIVRE NERNIER ! won 10 of the council's 11 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted Ensemble (Macron camp) 46.9%, France Unbowed 10.2%, Reconquête 9.5%. Ensemble (Macron camp) did 19 points better here than across France.
