Alex is a commune in Haute-Savoie with 893 registered voters, the 149th largest of the département's 279 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 54.2% of them voted, close to the 52.9% across Haute-Savoie, and ALEX, NOTRE VILLAGE, C'EST VOUS won 15 of the council's 15 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted Ensemble (Macron camp) 36.8%, France Unbowed 18.1%, National Rally 13.4%. National Rally did 10 points worse here than across France.
