Champagney is a commune in Haute-Saône with 2,972 registered voters, the 7th largest of the département's 531 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 62.5% of them voted, close to the 62.1% across Haute-Saône, and Agir ensemble pour l'avenir de Champagney won 22 of the council's 27 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 41.3%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 17.6%, France Unbowed 15.6%. National Rally did 18 points better here than across France.
