Perthes is a commune in Haute-Marne with 367 registered voters, the 63rd largest of the département's 422 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 69.8% of them voted, more than the 57.2% across Haute-Marne, and Agir ensemble pour mieux vivre à Perthes won 12 of the council's 15 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 54.6%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 18.1%, France Unbowed 6.9%. National Rally did 31 points better here than across France.
