Yssingeaux is a commune in Haute-Loire with 5,910 registered voters, the 3rd largest of the département's 256 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 66.9% of them voted, more than the 62% across Haute-Loire, and YSSINGEAUX 2026 won 24 of the council's 29 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 29.3%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 25.2%, France Unbowed 15.1%. France Unbowed did 7 points worse here than across France.
