At the municipal election of March 2026 58.7% of them voted, more than the 48.6% across Guyane, and ENSEMBLE REPRENONS NOTRE COMMUNE EN MAIN won 18 of the council's 23 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted France Unbowed 38.3%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 20.2%, National Rally 19.1%. France Unbowed did 16 points better here than across France.
