Iracoubo is a commune in Guyane with 1,272 registered voters, the 15th largest of the département's 22 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 83.8% of them voted, more than the 48.6% across Guyane, and UNE NOUVELLE ÈRE POUR IRACOUBO won 15 of the council's 19 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted France Unbowed 44.1%, National Rally 23.1%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 21%. France Unbowed did 22 points better here than across France.
