About Camopi

Camopi is a commune in Guyane with 1,227 registered voters, the 16th largest of the département's 22 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 58.2% of them voted, more than the 48.6% across Guyane, and WAYAPUKUWAN won 16 of the council's 19 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted France Unbowed 40.3%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 36.9%, National Rally 14.9%. France Unbowed did 18 points better here than across France.
