Vieux-Fort is a commune in Guadeloupe with 1,709 registered voters, the 30th largest of the département's 32 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 75.4% of them voted, more than the 52.4% across Guadeloupe, and LE RASSEMBLEMENT VIEUX-FORTAIN won 21 of the council's 21 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted France Unbowed 55.4%, National Rally 16.2%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 14%. France Unbowed did 33 points better here than across France.
