About Gourbeyre

Gourbeyre is a commune in Guadeloupe with 5,531 registered voters, the 21st largest of the département's 32 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 53% of them voted, close to the 52.4% across Guadeloupe, and the list led by Claude Edmond won 22 of the council's 29 seats after a second round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted France Unbowed 60.3%, National Rally 13.9%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 12.1%. France Unbowed did 38 points better here than across France.
