Locronan is a commune in Finistère with 743 registered voters, the 199th largest of the département's 276 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 75.2% of them voted, more than the 60.9% across Finistère, and the list led by Thierry Caubet won 12 of the council's 15 seats after a second round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted Ensemble (Macron camp) 25%, France Unbowed 24.7%, National Rally 14.7%. National Rally did 9 points worse here than across France.

Moved to today's national polls, our projection for the 2027 first round here has Marine Le Pen ahead on 25.5%, with Jean-Luc Mélenchon on 19.2%.
