Onans is a commune in Doubs with 314 registered voters, the 216th largest of the département's 558 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 59.6% of them voted, more than the 56.3% across Doubs, and PLUS LOIN ENSEMBLE won 11 of the council's 11 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 38.4%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 24.5%, France Unbowed 15.6%. National Rally did 15 points better here than across France.
