Ecole-Valentin is a commune in Doubs with 1,962 registered voters, the 30th largest of the département's 558 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 64.3% of them voted, more than the 56.3% across Doubs, and UN NOUVEL ELAN won 18 of the council's 23 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted Ensemble (Macron camp) 32.4%, France Unbowed 21.1%, National Rally 17.2%. National Rally did 6 points worse here than across France.
