Faux-Mazuras is a commune in Creuse with 156 registered voters, the 170th largest of the département's 252 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 87.2% of them voted, more than the 67.2% across Creuse, and UN NOUVEAU SOUFFLE won 10 of the council's 11 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 25.7%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 20.2%, France Unbowed 14.7%. Others did 9 points better here than across France.
