Nuits-Saint-Georges is a commune in Côte-d'Or with 3,663 registered voters, the 13th largest of the département's 697 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 60.5% of them voted, more than the 57.4% across Côte-d'Or, and the list led by Alexandre Suchet won 22 of the council's 29 seats after a second round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted Ensemble (Macron camp) 30.5%, National Rally 24.5%, France Unbowed 16.5%. France Unbowed did 5 points worse here than across France.
